Salim Zerrouki

Salim Zerrouki is an Algerian author-illustrator based in Tunisia.

Salim is a teller of crude adventures and a cartoonist of unfunny humour, he does comics, current affairs drawings, and more if you like...

After a stint at the School of Fine Arts in Algiers, which, thank God!, did not lead to a diploma, he wandered for a long decade in the abyss of advertising.

In 2011, he created his first caricature blog “Yahia Boulahia”, a bearded and Salafist character, with explicit ambitions: “Every day a new Fatwa to cleanse society of all impure creatures, women and animals."

After narrowly escaping zero execution attempts, in 2014 he created a second blog, much much much less risky, of funny and colourful illustrations “Ta7richa”.

In 2018, he fell back into the pot of provocation, he published his first comic strip "100% Bled, Comment se débarrasser de nous pour un monde meilleur", ('100% Bled, How to get rid of us for a better world').

Still not having enough problems, in 2021, he tackled European migration policy by publishing his second comic book "Comment réussir sa migration clandestine", ('How to succeed in illegal migration').

He regularly publishes his illustrations on social networks, including Twitter, even if it is reserved for intellectuals.
